A Perfect Date With Dublin

Una Connelly from The Church opens up to share her idea of a perfect date.

My perfect date with Dublin would begin by waking up late in the opulent surrounds of the iconic Shelbourne Hotel and enjoying their sumptuous poached eggs on granary with a hot cup of tea, all while I’m still in bed of course!

From there we would take a late morning stroll around the beautiful St. Stephens Green enjoying this little piece of tranquillity in the heart of the city.  Venturing outside the green we would climb on board a Viking Splash tour for a fun filled hour and a half where we would take in the city’s sights on land and water!

Feeling a little peckish it’s off to the stylish Grafton Lounge for the to die for steak and rocket salad.

Then for a good stretch of the legs we would make our way towards Smithfield and take a tour of the Jameson Distillery which I have heard so many good things about.  Feeling all a glow after some whiskey tasting we would make our way to the world famous Church Bar & Restaurant on Jervis st for a little Irish music. Making our way upstairs to the Gallery of the Church we sit at a table under the magnificent Organ where we enjoy a delicious meal. To top off an amazing day the man at the table next to us proposes to his girlfriend right under the organ and to everyone’s delight she says yes! Time for some bubbly all round- the perfect end to a perfect day!
